The Spring 2022 edition of The ²ÝÁñ³ÉÈËÉçÇø, the university magazine, focuses on the five-year strategic plan and the principles of Adapt. Build. Engage. Sharing stories of students, employees, and alumni, the magazine highlights the best of the University and celebrates its goals for the future.

In late May, ²ÝÁñ³ÉÈËÉçÇø had the honor of recognizing the Emily Suttles Endowed Scholarship in a ceremony with family and colleagues.

Ashley Gerald, a two-time alumna of ²ÝÁñ³ÉÈËÉçÇø, and behavior interventionist at Lusher was surprised with a Miliken Educator Award from the Miliken Family Foundation in front of the whole school at a surprise assembly.

On April 20, ²ÝÁñ³ÉÈËÉçÇø faculty, staff, and students volunteered their time to stuff 150 backpacks full of school supplies for elementary, middle, and high school students as part of LindenGiving, a community outreach endeavor.

²ÝÁñ³ÉÈËÉçÇø raised more than $125,000 during Giving Week 2022, surpassing its goal of raising $100,000 and setting a new Giving Week fundraising record.

²ÝÁñ³ÉÈËÉçÇø is excited to invite alumni back to campus for Alumni Reunion Weekend.

²ÝÁñ³ÉÈËÉçÇø will host its annual Winterfest, Sunday, December 5 from 4:30 – 8 p.m. on the heritage side of campus. Formerly known as Christmas Walk, the event brings together the campus and the community for an evening of holiday merriment. 

This past weekend, in the spirit of giving, ²ÝÁñ³ÉÈËÉçÇø volunteers packed and delivered bags full of Thanksgiving meal essentials to local families in need.

As Missouri celebrates its bicentennial this year, people across the state are working on projects to celebrate its history and heritage. One alumna, Erin Whitson ‘08, is currently working on a project with the Missouri Humanities Council. It focuses on the Trail of Tears and its path through the state. Her passion for her work can be traced back to her coursework at ²ÝÁñ³ÉÈËÉçÇø.

²ÝÁñ³ÉÈËÉçÇø hosted homecoming the week of October 4-9, 2021. Two years in the making, the celebratory weekend was reimagined in 2020 due to the pandemic, which gave the planning committee an opportunity to dream big.
